Green Hills Garden and Nursery was started in August, 2012.
We grow seedlings of Korean baby maple, green tea and camellia.
Korean baby maple is grown from seeds found near the Backyang Temple
in Naejang Mountain, Korea. It belongs to acer palmatum, a family
of Japanese maple and is now about five years old.
For green tea, we are participating in USDA grant project to design
to test for hardiness of each tea plant among Chinese, Japanese,
Korean, and Russian (Sochi and Black Sea) cultivars.
We grow camellia seedlings from Jeju Island, Korea and hope to find
hardy cultivars for Northern Virginia and other states with cold winter.
